Mill diaphragms are exposed to high loads and stresses. To deal with this, every mill diaphragm is equipped with slotted and backside plates made of heat-treated rolled steel.

Intermediate diaphragms

Divides the tube mill into two grinding chambers with different grinding ball sizes.

Discharge diaphragms

Individually adapted to the existing mill and is fixed either on the mill head or mill shell.

Open lifter diaphragms

Installed between the drying and the first grinding chamber of a raw mill.

Double outlet diaphragms

Used in mills with central discharge.

Cast alloy plates

  • All mill diaphragms are equipped with plates made of heat -treated rolled steel. This material quality has a lot of important advantages over the use of plates made of cast alloy.
  • The plates have a special slot shape, which assures almost constant transfer conditions during the entire period of use.
  • The bolt fastening with conical swages results in a precise fitting to the support structure and allows an efficient use of the plate up to a residual thickness of 8 - 10 mm.

Internal linings

As well as protecting the mill cylinder, the shell lining systems also influence the capacity potential of the grinding process and the interaction between material, grinding media and shell lining. The dynamic of the grinding media movement in the mill is decisively determined by the form of the lining system.
